Getting To Know My Body

Posted in Uncategorized at 8:00 am by amit

My body is talking and I listen. It wasn't always like that though. As a child I used to have problems with constipation. I would be miserable. Spending hours and hours in the bathroom. I didn't want to eat the things that I needed to eat that would make me feel better such as fruits and vegetables. I was a picky eater and that didn't help my situation. One day I had an episode and I was determined to eat the things I needed to eat so, I could feel better. I was only 12-years-old at the time but, I was sick of being constipated. From than on I included fruits and vegetables in my diet. Even today, if I don't eat fruits and vegetables I will get constipated. Drinking water helps me too. I have also discovered that Vemma helps prevents me from getting constipated and helps me with my energy as well.

When I was 14-years-old I developed this rash on both of the cheeks on my face. The rash was glossy and it itched something terrible. Than it started weeping and bleeding. I would put my face under the shower and let the water run over my face. It felt so good. I started getting this crusty stuff on my face that was forming over the rash. I would rinse it off in the shower and it would come right back. Besides that, it was still weeping and bleeding. I began putting cortaid on the rash. I had to completely stop washing my face. The crusty stuff on my face became like some kind of shell and it looked horrible. I continued to apply the cortaid. The shell started to come off and when it did my face was completely healed.

Last year, I started to get that rash again. I began to panic because I didn't want it to start weeping and bleeding. Before it got too bad I started putting A&D ointment on it and it went away. Even though I had stopped letting the water blast over my face in the shower. I was still scrubbing down my face with soap and water everyday. Who would of thought that I would get something like that just from my face being too dry? My problem was solved. Now, I don't scrub my face down everyday like I used too. Now, I just wet my wash cloth with some warm water and wash it gently and to keep it from getting dry I use a little bit of olive oil, or shea butter.

In the year 2000 I had a horrible case of diarrhea. I had never had it like that before. I was running to the bathroom so much that I couldn't even sleep. I didn't know what was going on. I couldn't eat for three days. I didn't know how I could of kept emptying myself out because there shouldn't of been nothing left for me to dispose of. I looked back on that situation and after reading some natural health books I believed that my colon needed cleaning. So, that's what I am now doing. I haven't had diarrhea since. Thank God! Another problem was solved with a simple solution.

A couple of years ago I was getting excruciating pains in my colon area. So, much so, I was thinking about going to the doctor and I don't really like to go to the doctor. I took a shower to see if it would stop the pain and help me calm my nerves. It didn't do anything at all. I layed down and the pain just kept coming. I decided to go get me a glass of water. As soon as I drank the water my pain completely stopped. I couldn't believe it. I would of never thought I would get pain like that just because I didn't drink enough water.

What really surprised me was that all of the solutions were simple? I was able to pay attention and find out what my body needed. I was truly able to get to know my body. I believe it is going to be a life-long process. I now treat my body as a friend. I can honestly say, I feel much better for it.

Is Meat Really Bad For You?

Posted in Uncategorized at 8:00 am by amit

Nowadays, many people are becoming vegans and vegetarians. Is eating meat really bad for you? I would have to say that it isn't. I don't believe eating just one particular food is better for your health. Nutrients derive from many different foods. I don't believe that your body can get all of it's proper nutrients from only one particular food group. I don't doubt that eating fruits and vegetables are good for you. They are very much a part of my diet and I can feel the difference.

I also believe that eating too much of anything can be no good for you no matter what it may be. You should have a balanced diet. It shouldn't be all meat or just all vegetables. It should be a variety of both. Meat is not bad for you. However what they are doing to it can make it bad for you. Keeping the meat in unclean conditions. I don't care what anyone says when you are mass producing something it is hard to keep it clean unless you stay on top of it. Which, they are not doing. Feeding the animals grains and other animal. It is sickening. Animals should only be fed grass because that is what they are supposed to eat. When you feed them things other than what they should eat, than of course it is unhealthy for the animal and the people who eat the animal. If you feed the animals healthy diets and keep them in clean conditions and stop pumping them up with growth harmones and vaccinations. Than there is no reason why one shouldn't eat meat.

Only one meat should be avoided and that is pork. The pig is a filthy animal. It wallows around in mud and it eats it's own feces. They are now saying that they have cleaned the pig up by not feeding it garbage. That is not true because you cannot clean it up. That's what it does. It was created to eat filth. Anyways, they are mass producing pigs and you can't tell me that they clean up the feces before the pigs eat it because that is what they do. Also, pigs eat their own babies if you let them. Why would anyone want to eat something that eats his own feces and babies? Do you know the diseases you could just by eating it?

A while back I had read an article in U.S. News magazine. It was about this lady who lived in the country. She ran a day care out of her home. A pig farm moved not too far away from home. She said the stench became unbearable. It got all in her house even when she closed the windows she could still smell it. She had to close her day care because the children's parents didn't want to bring their children to her home anymore because the smell was so horrible. I already knew pork was no good for your health and reading this article was just one more reason why people should not eat it.

Taking Small Steps Toward Your Health

When you begin to start taking care of your health it may seem overwhelming at times. You're probably thinking, "How am I going to do all this?"

It doesn't have to be difficult to live a healthy life. Always began any endeavor with the mentality that you can and you will make this happen. It will only be hard if you never get started. Don't take your health for granted. Be grateful that you have it and start taking care of it. Not tomorrow. Not next week. Today!

Let's begin with some small steps to get you going. I know you've heard this a million times but I'm going to tell you again. Drink more water and make sure it is filtered! If you can't drink 8 glasses immediately. Start off with at least 5 glasses and work your way up (Don't feel bad I'm still working my way up too). When you feel thirsty don't get anything to drink but some water. Eliminate pop from your diet ( It can be done because if I can do it I know you can).

Before you eat breakfast eat a piece of fruit because fruit has enzymes in it that helps your digestive system. Try it! It really works!

For dinner there are many things that you can cook ( Notice I said cook). Baking is always better and the food seems to lasts longer (It always does for my family). You can fry but just don't make it an everyday occasion. Incorporate a soup dish at least once a week such as beef stew or lamb stew, zucchini soup, potatoe soup, and beans. Have a meatless day once or twice a week too. You can make dishes such as a vegetable pasta stir-fry or spaghetti without the meat. If you think that you might not like it without meat. Get some vegetarian grillers by Morning Star and put them in there as a substitute for the meat.

I'm not saying that you can't eat any junk food. Just cut it down to a minimum. Instead try eating popcorn ( It would be better if you popped your own). Sunflower seeds, sesame seed sticks, natural chips, peanuts, almonds, yogurt covered raisins. You can get all of these things from your local health food store. You can even eat desserts. A pound cake is really an easy cake to make. Remember simpler is better.

Get you some rest. Try to get 8 hours of sleep every night. Go to bed early and get up early. You will feel so much better.

Lastly, but not least. Get up and move by exercising! Walking is one of the easiest exercises to do. Everyone can walk. Grab a partner and go walking! Remember don't make excuses.

Yoga is also a good exercise. There are books for beginners. It doesn't have to be hard. Who doesn't feel good after a good stretch? Yoga is the ultimate stretch for your body.

Whichever one of theses exercises you choose to do you can't go wrong with. You may decide that you would like to do both of these exercisese in your exercise regime.

Remember to start slowly but start! Don't delay and lets get healthy today!

My Vemma Story

Posted in Uncategorized at 8:00 am by amit

I would be extremely tired all the time and would spend a lot of time in bed. I would get up early in the morning to start my day and in a few minutes I would feel so tired I couldn't hardly sit up and I would go running back to bed. I wanted to spend my time doing things I needed to do and not sleeping my life away.

I never tried a lot of things to help me with my energy because the products I looked into were not natural and they were in pill form. I wanted to take something that was natural and easy to swallow. I can swallow pills but it's not something that I enjoyed doing on a daily basis.

So, when my father introduced me to the Vemma Nutrition Program. I said to myself, "What do I have to lose"? It could be what I have been looking for.

I started taking Vemma and within a month I noticed I had more energy and I could stay up longer without feeling like sleep and tiredness were going to over power me.

I guess you can say I found what I was looking for. :)

Do you know anyone who might like to know about a product like that?
